Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 6, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the DMARCit platform and services (the "Service"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
You agree not to, and not to allow any third party to, use the Service in any manner that violates this AUP. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably determine that you have violated this AUP.
1. Domain Authorization
You must not:
- Add, monitor, or claim any domain that you do not own or for which you have not received explicit written authorization from the domain owner.
- Configure DMARC reporting addresses (RUA or RUF) to direct reports for domains you are not authorized to manage.
- Use the Service to gather competitive intelligence about domains belonging to other organizations without their authorization.
- If you are an MSP, consultant, or reseller, manage client domains without obtaining each client's prior authorization.
2. Email and Report Traffic
You must not:
- Use the Service to facilitate, support, or conceal spam, phishing, malware distribution, or other abusive email practices.
- Intercept, redirect, or tamper with email or DMARC report traffic that you are not authorized to receive.
- Use DMARC forensic (RUF) report data to harvest email addresses, reconstruct message content for unauthorized purposes, or engage in surveillance of individuals without a lawful basis.
- Submit fabricated or manipulated DMARC reports to the Service.
3. DNS and Hosted SPF Features
You must not:
- Use Hosted SPF, SPF flattening, or DNS record generation features for domains you are not authorized to manage.
- Intentionally create DNS records designed to disrupt email delivery for others or to bypass legitimate email authentication controls.
- Use the Service's DNS features to publish records that facilitate spam or fraudulent email delivery.
4. Account Security and Access
You must not:
- Share account credentials with unauthorized persons or use another person's account without their permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, organizations, or data.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls, authentication mechanisms, or security features of the Service.
- Create multiple free trial accounts to avoid payment for the Service.
5. Service Integrity
You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests, or other abusive traffic patterns.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service except through officially provided APIs, and only within documented rate limits.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, trademarks, or branding from the Service.
6. Legal Compliance
You must not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or government order, including data protection, privacy, anti-spam, and telecommunications laws.
- Infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
- Engage in any activity that is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading.
- Store, transmit, or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Suspending or restricting access to the Service
- Terminating your account
- Reporting the violation to law enforcement
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, other customers, or third parties.
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@dmarcit.io.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with our Terms of Service.
