Who PowerDMARC is for

PowerDMARC is the right choice if:

  • You want the cheapest possible entry into DMARC and you have low email volume. $8/mo (annual) for Basic with 10K-50K emails/month is the lowest credible price in the category. If you're a one-person shop or small team with light email and you want a real DMARC dashboard rather than a free-tier toy, that's real value.
  • You need the broadest feature surface from one vendor. PowerDMARC ships hosted DMARC, hosted MTA-STS, hosted TLS-RPT, BIMI, SPF Macros (a more powerful approach than plain SPF flattening), and an AI threat-intel layer. Most competitors stop at hosted SPF + MTA-STS; PowerDMARC keeps going.
  • You're an MSP running tens to thousands of client domains. Their Partner Program ships multi-tenant control panel, white-label, branding, consolidated domain view, per-tenant API, PSA integration, and dedicated GTM support — and they claim 1000+ channel partners plus an AWS Marketplace listing. Serious MSP scale.
  • You want procurement-friendly social proof. 4.9 G2 stars across 235 reviews and G2 Summer 2025 category leader. Your CIO has heard of them.

If that's you, use PowerDMARC. We won't waste your time pretending otherwise.

Who DMARCit is for

DMARCit is built around an observation from EasyDMARC's 2024 adoption research: only ~9% of domains with a DMARC record actually reach enforcement (p=quarantine or p=reject). The other 91% are stuck at p=none — observability mode, where reports flow but no spoofed mail is blocked. That gap is a journey problem, not a tooling problem. Most DMARC tools — including PowerDMARC — show you everything. DMARCit is opinionated about the path.

Use DMARCit if:

  • You want to actually reach p=reject and you keep getting stuck. Our staged enforcement workflow walks you through the pct= ladder (1% → 10% → 50% → 100%) with each step gated on alignment-rate evidence. Fewer "I jumped to enforcement and broke marketing email" stories.
  • You want one number, not a calculator. DMARCit's pricing is Pro $39 + MSP/Partner (Contact Sales) — one self-serve tier, partner pricing above. PowerDMARC's Basic tier is six email-volume sub-bands ($8 → $200/mo annual), plus hosted SPF as an add-on, plus phone/email support as add-ons, plus Enterprise above that. Both are defensible; one stays self-serve longer.
  • You want a US-based founder on the other end of an email. When you write in, you reach the team that builds the product, not a tier-1 ticket queue [VERIFY current support SLA + founder-access specifics]. PowerDMARC's support is multi-language and well-staffed for global volume — real strength for them, real tradeoff for us.
  • You want first-seen sender detection that flags shadow IT before deliverability breaks. Both do source identification; DMARCit is opinionated about what to do next when a new sender appears (annotate, approve, blacklist) rather than just listing it.

One thing we don't claim: "real-time" anything for SPF or aggregate DMARC. Aggregate reports arrive on a 24-hour cadence by spec; SPF evaluation happens at receivers. We frame SPF monitoring as early-warning first-seen detection plus a monthly audit — honest framing, not sales framing.

Feature-by-feature deep dive

DMARC aggregate (RUA) and forensic (RUF) reporting

Both ingest aggregate reports, parse them, and surface alignment failures. PowerDMARC's reporting layer is deeper — Threat Map, scheduled PDF reports, CSV export, raw XML. DMARCit's is closer to a workflow than a dashboard — every flagged sender has a "next action" attached. PowerDMARC also markets "real-time DMARC RUF alerts," which is real for RUF — though almost no major receiver sends RUF anymore due to GDPR, so it's a legacy field in 2026. Verdict: PowerDMARC for analytics breadth, DMARCit for actionability.

Hosted SPF / SPF flattening

The most interesting difference. PowerDMARC offers Power SPF as an add-on on Basic (standard at Enterprise) and additionally ships SPF Macros — a more sophisticated technique than plain flattening, working around the 10-DNS-lookup limit dynamically rather than collapsing the include chain at deploy time. DMARCit bundles hosted SPF into the $99 Pro tier with first-seen sender detection on the same record (see SPF permerror deep-dive). Verdict: PowerDMARC has the more sophisticated technique but gates it behind add-on or Enterprise pricing; DMARCit bundles plain hosted SPF into the mid tier.

Hosted DKIM, MTA-STS, BIMI

PowerDMARC ships hosted MTA-STS on Basic+ (included), hosted BIMI on every tier including Free, and hosted DKIM at Enterprise only. Mature workflows on all three. DMARCit [VERIFY: MTA-STS hosting — believed Q3 2026 roadmap] and [VERIFY: BIMI record-management — present in some tier flows; full BIMI/VMC on roadmap]. Verdict: PowerDMARC ships these today; DMARCit doesn't. BIMI is downstream of enforcement (you need p=quarantine or p=reject first), so for many readers this isn't the blocker it sounds like — but if MTA-STS hosting or full BIMI/VMC is a hard requirement, pick PowerDMARC.

Multi-domain management

PowerDMARC caps Basic at 5 active domains (unlimited inactive). Above that → Enterprise (custom quote) or Partner Program. DMARCit is built for multi-domain in Pro $39 [VERIFY domain count], MSP/Partner (Contact Sales) extending to mid-enterprise and partner deployments — no per-domain shopping cart, no surprise tier-jump at domain #6. Verdict: PowerDMARC for very small (1-5) or MSP-scale; DMARCit for the in-between band (5-25 domains) without going Enterprise.

Threat intel and integrations

PowerDMARC ships an "AI Agent" / Threat Intelligence layer at Basic+, Power Analyzer / Power Toolbox / Lookalike Domain detector at Enterprise, plus broad enterprise integrations: SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar at Enterprise), SAML 2.0 SSO, SCIM provisioning, and PSA integration on the Partner Program. Closer to a small email-security suite than a pure DMARC tool. DMARCit focuses on deliverability and the enforcement journey — Slack, generic webhook, [VERIFY: Cloudflare DNS one-click status]. Verdict: PowerDMARC for catalog breadth and enterprise-IT requirements; DMARCit if you only need the core few.

UI / UX, performance, and support

The place where published reviews actually move the needle. PowerDMARC's G2 reviews include consistent mentions of UI lag and slow page loads — multiple distinct "slow performance" mentions against an otherwise strong 4.9/5 average across 235 reviews. The product is feature-rich; rendering all that richness is, by user account, sometimes laggy.

On support: PowerDMARC offers email and phone as add-ons at Free and Basic per their published feature comparison; base support is video tutorials, paid SLA via custom contracts. Multi-language and well-staffed for global volume. DMARCit [VERIFY: published support SLA + founder-access specifics] runs a small-team-direct model where you write in and reach the people who build the product.

Verdict: PowerDMARC has more features and renders them slower; DMARCit has fewer features and renders them faster. Tiered-add-on support vs founder-direct. Both are honest tradeoffs.

Pricing breakdown

Apples-to-apples is hard because the vendors structure tiers very differently — PowerDMARC indexes on email volume × feature tier × add-ons; DMARCit indexes on workflow tier.

Where the price ladders meet

At $8-$15/mo (low volume): PowerDMARC Basic for $8 (10K-50K emails) or $15 (50K-100K) is the category's price-leader. DMARCit doesn't have an answer at this point — and we won't invent one. PowerDMARC wins outright for low-volume single-domain shops that don't need hosted SPF, hosted MTA-STS, multi-domain past 5, or direct founder support.

At $45-$120/mo (mid volume): PowerDMARC Basic at the 100K-500K email bands costs $45-$120/mo before the hosted SPF add-on. DMARCit Pro at $39 bundles hosted SPF, multi-domain, and the staged enforcement workflow. Bundle math gets close — the SPF telemetry alone offsets a chunk of the spread, and the workflow tier is what gets you to enforcement instead of p=none purgatory.

At $200+/mo (Enterprise jump): PowerDMARC Basic tops out at ~$200/mo; above that you're in custom-quote Enterprise. DMARCit's MSP/Partner is a Contact Sales conversation rather than a six-band volume calculator — same number of variables (one), different format.

The cliff nobody talks about with PowerDMARC: most of the features you came for (hosted SPF, hosted DKIM, SIEM, SSO, SLA) are gated above the $8 headline as add-ons or Enterprise inclusions. The headline is real; the all-in number is harder to predict until you've configured it.

Migration path: switching from PowerDMARC to DMARCit

If you're on PowerDMARC and considering a move, here's the concrete path. None of this requires deliverability downtime if you do it in order.

1. Export your existing config (Day 0). PowerDMARC supports CSV and XML export of RUA/RUF and one-click DNS publishing history. Save: your DMARC record (rua=, ruf=, pct=, aspf=, adkim=, sp=), your Power SPF include if used, your hosted MTA-STS policy if used, and the most recent 30 days of aggregate reports as a baseline.

2. Set up DMARCit in parallel (Day 0-1). Add your domains. Don't change DNS yet.

3. Add DMARCit as a secondary RUA recipient (Day 1). The key migration trick. Modify your DMARC record from:

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@powerdmarc.com

to:

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@powerdmarc.com,mailto:reports@dmarcit.io

Both vendors now receive the same reports. No deliverability change. Run 7-14 days to validate the data matches.

4. Compare the two dashboards (Day 7-14). Same data, two views. If DMARCit's workflow doesn't fit, you've lost nothing — your PowerDMARC subscription is still active.

5. Cut over (Day 14+). Remove the PowerDMARC RUA, cancel. If you were on Power SPF, swap the include after testing — the only DNS step with a real risk window, mitigated by SPF's forgiving failure mode (permerror takes hours to manifest, not minutes). If you were on PowerDMARC's hosted MTA-STS and DMARCit doesn't have it yet [VERIFY], leave the MTA-STS policy on PowerDMARC, a third-party host, or self-hosted until DMARCit ships parity.

Total: 1-2 weeks calendar, ~2 hours of actual work. No deliverability incident if you parallel-run.

Honest caveats

Where PowerDMARC is genuinely better today:

  • Lowest entry price in the category — $8/mo Basic, billed annually. We don't have an answer at this price point.
  • MTA-STS / BIMI / SPF Macros maturity — they ship all three today; DMARCit [VERIFY MTA-STS + BIMI roadmap]. SPF Macros in particular is materially better than plain flattening for genuinely complex SPF chains.
  • MSP scale and integrations — 1000+ channel partners, AWS Marketplace, multi-tenant white-label, PSA integration, dedicated GTM support. Real moat for MSPs with hundreds-to-thousands of client domains.
  • Procurement-friendly social proof — 4.9 G2 stars, 235 reviews, G2 Summer 2025 category leader. Matters in long sales cycles.

Where DMARCit is differentiated:

  • Staged enforcement workflow — opinionated pct= ladder, gated on alignment-rate evidence. Fewer "stuck at p=none forever" stories.
  • Transparent self-serve pricing — Pro $39, public; MSP/Partner (Contact Sales) above. No volume-axis spreadsheet, no base-ladder add-ons, no surprise tier-jump at domain #6.
  • Modern UX with intentional scope — fewer features, faster pages. The PowerDMARC UI-lag pattern isn't a smear; it's the tradeoff of feature breadth, and we chose the opposite.
  • Founder-direct support — US-based [VERIFY: SLA + founder-access specifics]. Email the person who builds the product, not a tier-1 queue.
  • Hosted SPF in Pro $39 — not a per-add-on line item.
  • Anti-FUD posture — we won't sell "real-time" SPF/DMARC alerts that don't exist by spec, or claim TOTP is phishing-resistant (Phase 2D correction).

Where we can't honestly differentiate: DMARC report parsing accuracy. BIMI / MTA-STS / SPF Macros feature maturity (PowerDMARC ahead on all three). Brand recognition in enterprise procurement (they've been around longer with more public references — not a wash).

How to choose

  1. Volume and domains? Under 50K + 1-5 domains → PowerDMARC's $8-$15 Basic wins on price. 100K-500K + multi-domain → check DMARCit Pro at $39 against PowerDMARC Basic + Power SPF add-on. 5+ domains and not an MSP → DMARCit. MSP with hundreds of client domains → PowerDMARC Partner Program.
  2. Where are you stuck? New to DMARC, want broad features, low budget → PowerDMARC. Stuck at p=none for 6+ months and want an opinionated path → DMARCit.
  3. MTA-STS / BIMI / SPF Macros today? Yes → PowerDMARC. Not yet, and you'd rather have transparent pricing and direct support → DMARCit.

PowerDMARC optimizes for feature breadth, low entry price, and MSP scale. DMARCit optimizes for narrower scope, transparent pricing, and a faster path to enforcement. Pick the half of the market you live in.
